Matthias:

I am on 10.5.2 and it still happens.

Others in our office report that since the latest update they do not

get it anymore (10.5.3).

Going to the extended keyboard in the International settings didn't

prevent it.

I will just need to get room on my laptop to install the update.

Hi Jody,

Apple released a patch for their laptops to address this:

The problem also occurs on Mac Mini 1,1 machines.  I have not seen

a fix

for the Mini's yet.

FWIW I've seen this problem as well, but neither the patch nor the

International Prefs fix worked for me.  I'm on a MBP 2.4GHz, currently

running 10.5.3.  It doesn't happen often, but usually once a day or

so.  Only happens in 4D, and usually bringing another app to the

front, then bringing 4D back to front solves it.

I never had that problem ... so I'm sorry.

I'm on a MacBookPro meanwhile with 10.5.4 and everything works fine,

besides the "o"-key, which was damaged by ...

... one off my cats grrrrr

cheers,

Matthias

I have to 'activate' 4D by  clicking on its Dock icon to get back to

normal. Then switching

between apps works fine.

The menu is still  the one of the previous app, not 4D.

That seems to be a bug in OS X.5.

I had it happen with other apps that the menubar was not showing

the menu for the frontmost application. (Even if no 4D-app was
involved)

Still happening for us here to with the latest MacOS update.

Apple - 4D not sure which it is. Don't use enough other programs to

know.

I agree with Jim here.  I still have this occasionally happen to me

running 2004 on an Intel Mac.  It has never happened without 4D 2004

This seems to be a problem with 4d 2004 and Intel Macs running

10.5. Our

PPC's don't have the problem. None of the updates from Apple nor

changing

the "International system" setting make any difference. Our test

system on

4d V.11 hasn't exhibited the problem yet.

The other problem of having to go to the menu bar to switch screens

is a

universal problem amongst all applications.
