XML Schema validation

Is it correct that in 4D 2004, the XML tools validate against DTDs but

do not validate against Schema?

It looks like v11 adds a new feature of validating against Schema as

well as DTDs.

I am aware of the Pluggers plugins for XML that support XML Schema

validation.

Hi Basil,

I've used Rob's XML Plugin since 2003, in databases spanning across
v6.7, v2003 and v2004. Since the command set is consistent, the code
was just a matter of copy and paste across the different versions of
4D; I'd even prefer to stick with it in v11, so no need to re-write
anything.

The same cannot be said about 4D's XML functionality, i.e. nonexistant
in v6.7, incomplete in v2003, pretty good in v2004, better in v11.
Also, XPATH is very nicely implemented, the plugin is very fast and
stable, and Rob's added a few new forward-looking features in the
latest version, functionality that I have not absorbed yet.

A big thumbs-up for Rob's plugins :)
