Hi David,

The 4D Macro Pack example database shows how to use macro events

alongside CVS:

http://www.4d.com/2004/macropack.html

In addition, 4D v11 SQL has some new events that make things even

easier.  We've got a Tech Note that covers these:

seIDG934

In particular, 4D 2004 does *not* have events for opening nor saving a

method.  4D v11 SQL does, so you can automate the check-in and
check-out

(whereas in Macro Pack the check-in and check-out is manual).

Kind regards,

Josh Fletcher

I haven't checked into the state of the art regarding version control

features and 4D 2004 for some time. Can anyone bring me up to speed?

If I remember rightly, there are now entry points that can trap when a

method is saved - giving us a chance to save it out to a disk file or

what have you. Are there any good examples of tools/tricks that are

worth the effort when developing under 4D Client/Server?

Thanks for any advice.

Thanks. Do you have any experience with this under Client/Server?
