why are indexes not restored next to the data file

I have a backup setup and added the mydb.Match and mydb.4DIndx files
as an attachments. When I restore the database It puts the attachments
at the top level of the restore folder but the database (mydb.4DD) is
in a subfolder called "db" (which is the name of the backup
destination folder). Is there a way to have everything restored to the
same folder so it is not necessary to move things around to use the
database?
