Just a note of caution to anyone running a web server on a client to a
V11 server, ie: 4D Desktop running in remote mode. Â Â If you
are doing
SSL on such a client web server or for that matter web services, the
location for the SSL certificate is
Mac OS: {Disk}:Users:User:Library:Caches:4D:DatabaseName_Address:
Vista: {Disk}:\Users\Current user\AppData\Local\4D\DatabaseName_Address
Windows XP: {Disk}:\Documents and Settings\Current user\Local
Settings\Application Data\DatabaseName_Address
There is a tech note on this.... Â The caution is that if or some
reason when starting up the client you check the box, under the custom
tab in Connection to 4D Server, "Force the update of the local
resources" Â Â you will delete your SSL certificate and any
related
files. Â Â Hopefully you have a backup copy of these files.
Be careful
Gary
