Randy,

We used to use WIN2PDF exclusively but ran into a number of Windows 7
security issues, and other generation issues. ?After much effort to
deal
with this, we decided to move to TobitProXL V4, and have not looked
back.

TobitProXL V4 does not require registry entries, which was always a
pain for
us, especially since most IT organizations do not know how to
correctly set
security on Windows 7, or they would not allow the PC's to make
registry
changes.

Steve

Win2PDF is your best bet. I gave up on PDFCreator a couple years ago
because
of system specific problems like this that were constantly sucking
time.

Win2PDF just works. The only problem I ever had with it was when my
code
gave it a generated path that had an illegal character in it because
of user
data.

Their tech support helped track it down quickly, I corrected my code,
and
all is smooth again.

It's well worth the $35. The code to make it work is easy and once
installed, you don't have to think about it.

HTH,
Randy

willing to make some of your code available as an example of doing
this?

I'm not really sure I want to take on the hassle of supporting it for
free. I also have no docs on how to use it. Furthermore, I developed
this for a particular company, so if I put it out there would need to
"do my own version" before I released it.

Further again, I'm not sure I want to remove the market for those
pluggin writers that charge for the same function.

On the other hand, if there is a great need for it in the community I
would consider creating it and adding documentation, and putting it
out there... maybe just charge for support, kind of like FootRunner?

Thoughts?

Same for us: very good and reliable tool, specially when working in
citrix/tse environment.
