2-questions:

1) What behavior does the "open_in_custom_mode" attribute control?

2) Is there a 4DLink attribute that selects which environment an
interpretive, local database opens up: design or application?

(I'm asking about the attributes found in the 4D application at
"Resources -> DTD - database_link.dtd".)

I think the question answers itself,

custom mode ==3D= application mode.
